On Saturday, October 15, 2022 Gerald “Jerry” Lee Walke passed away at the age of 88. Jerry was born on November 7, 1933 in Treadwell, NY and grew up in Hamden, attending Delhi High School. Jerry was a naturally talented mechanic and engineer who generously shared his skills of repair and invention with employers, neighbors, friends, and strangers alike. On July 22, 1956, he married Alice Martha Campbell with whom he raised a son Gerald “Spike” and two daughters, Jacqueline “Jackie” and Dorothy “Dodie”. Jerry was preceded in death by his former wife Alice. He is survived by his brother, Harry; children, Spike (Kelly), Jackie (Dave), and Dodie (Mark); grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Vincent, and Samantha; great grandchildren, Abigail, Rylee, London, Kylie, and Grayson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 11am to 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held at 1 PM with Pastor Bob Wilkie, officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery.
