Michelle E.”Shelley” Hogan, 59, of Walton passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY after a short illness. Michelle was born on December 23, 1962 in Cornwall, NY the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Pierce) Burghart. On April 9, 1994 she married Michael Hogan. Shelley was a Home Health Care Provider in Walton for many years. She loved animals and would take in the neighborhood cats or strays that would need a home. She enjoyed fishing, riding bike, and being surrounded by nature but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Shelley is survived by her loving family her husband, Michael Hogan, daughter, Mandi Stratton of Walton, son, Michael (Joanne) Hogan of Walton, grandchildren, Lennox and Ava Jean, sisters and brother in laws, Deborah and Michael Furman of Walton, Cynthia Walley of Unadilla, Theresa and William Hoyt of Clifton Park, sister in laws, Karen and Jeff Glasner of Walton, Sheri and Bob Ruff of Sidney, several Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, brother in law, William Walley, mother and father in law, Betty and Melvin Yale. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11AM at Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton with Pastor Bob Wilkie, officiating. Memorial Contribution’s in Shelley’s memory may be made to Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, 46610 State Highway 10, Delhi, New York 13753 or Plymouth Church, 6033 County Route 21, Walton, New York 13856.
