Obituary of Kathleen W. Carpenter

Kathleen W. Carpenter, 75, of Victor, NY passed away Friday evening, July 22, 2022 at home, surrounded by her family. Kathleen was born on October 11, 1946 in Teaneck, NJ, the daughter of the late Dr. Harry J. and Veronica (Behr) Wilbur. On February 17, 1968 she married Joseph M Carpenter III at St. John the Baptist Church in Walton, NY. Kathleen graduated from Walton High School ('64) and earned a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University ('68). She was a teacher and a mentor. However, where Kathleen excelled was in providing a loving, stable, and supportive home for her sons and husband. Her faith and her service to others were great, but her commitment to her family saw no equal. She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Joseph, two sons: Joseph M. (Elizabeth) Carpenter IV of Westport, CT and Matthew J. (Julie) Carpenter of Rochester, NY,; grandchildren, Corey, Abigail, Gabe, Jane, Joseph V, Daisy, Madeline and John; one brother: Dr. Harry J. Wilbur of Delmar, NY; a sister, Sheila Witkowski of Fairport, NY, and several nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM at the Courtney Funeral Come, 25 Townsend St., Walton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at 11AM at St John The Baptist Church, 25 Benton Ave, Walton, NY with Rev. Edward Golding, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery, Fancher Ave..
