Vina T. Byrne, 78, of Walton passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 16, 2022, following a fall at her home. Vina was born on August 13, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Ralph and Grace (Palazzo) Miele. On June 4, 1966 she married Joseph A. Byrne in Brooklyn, NY. Vina worked in Walton as a Librarian at the William Ogden Free Library. She attended St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Walton. Vina enjoyed taking care of her home and spending time with her family. Vina is survived by her loving family, her husband, Joseph of Walton; daughter and son in law; Elizabeth (Robert) Russell of New Canaan, CT; grandchildren, Christian, Lindsay, Carolyn, sister, Rosemarie Catalano of Long Island; special friend, Donna Marran of Walton; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Christopher Byrne in 1986. Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 11AM to 1PM where a Prayer service will be held at 1PM with Father Ed Golding, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
