Obituary of Gabriel L. Williams

Gabriel L. Williams, 26, of Walton passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Gabe was born on July 26, 1995 in Willcox, AZ. the son of Ian and Trina (Lester) Williams. He was a graduate of Franklin Central School. Prior to attending Franklin Central he attended Walton Central where he played football for the Warriors. One of his favorite things was cooking, so it was no surprise he became a Chef and was employed by Oakley’s Wood-Fired Pizza & Grill in Arkville. He enjoyed helping his dad, Jon with building and roofing jobs. In his free time, he liked to race in Moto Cross and ride dirt bikes. Gabe is survived by his loving family, his parents, Jon and Trina Finch of Walton; grandparents, Dorothy Ann Lester, Byron “Pop” Lester of Honesdale, PA; Sharon Finch of Walton; his siblings, brother, Austin Lester of Lake Ariel, PA; his best friend and younger brother, Nicholas J. Finch of Walton, little sister, Chelsea B. Finch of Walton, aunt, Nancy B. Lester of Lake Ariel, PA; mother of his children, Courtney Judith Covell of Walton and their four beautiful children, Landon Dalton, Josilynn Hope, Dominic Roland, and Mia Rose. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Arthur W. Lester, and Roland C. Finch. Gabe was an amazing son, brother, and father and will be greatly missed. Our hearts are broken. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Avenue, Walton, with Pastor Larry Light, officiating.
