To The Fiumera Family,
I knew Charlie for over 40 years. He was always friendly, a great guy and loved talking about hunting. Charlie came to many of my Octoberfest parties and fit in with all of my friends. Will miss all of his stories.

My condolences go out to the entire family. He was a hell of a man and will be greatly missed by many. I have a lot of memories of him as I was growing up whether it was going into his store, on the street, or him coming to the house for a visit. We had a lot of laughs together and he was quite a jokester. R.I.P Charlie!!! You might be gone, but you will NEVER be forgotten.

Dear, Viola, Terry, Chris, Tanner and the rest of the family, I am deeply saddened of hearing of the passing of one of my best friends I ever had. Charlie will always be in some of by fondest memories and Walton will never be the same to me without him There. He was my first friend when we moved to Walton in 1998. I am glad I Got to take him to his 2nd 90th birthday party (he had 2) in Delhi back in 2016 with my wife. I got to speak to him about salvation and by the power of the Lord and savior Jesus Christ he believed on the gospel of the shed blood of Jesus one of the last times I saw him. I know he is saved and was born again By the holly spirit of God as commanded by Jesus Himself and is in heaven. Ye must be born again through Christ Jesus and it’s by His shed blood alone by faith through a repentant heart. The gospel of salvation is 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 For all who read this, we only get one chance, once we are gone all chances are gone and it doesn’t matter how much money we have or what deeds we have done! You cannot earn it. There is only ONE Savior and HE did it all.

When we first bought a house in Walton in '93, Charlie's Hardware was a central point in the village. He accomodated most requests and shared anecdotes that made us feel part of the local community. We became friends beyond business as time went by and the loss of his store in the '06 flood left an empty place in our hearts as well as on Delaware Street. We met and talked many times thereafter, but Charlie was a local spokesman for good neighbors that was never replaced. I am sure that his banter will be appreciated among his new neighbors in Heaven and I pray God's mercy will allow us all to meet him there again someday.

By far one of the greatest men I ever met. I remember going to his store as a kid to see Santa. As I was growing up and needed something for hunting or fishing or anything he had it. Always had a story to tell. Loved listening to them. Whenever he saw me he always stopped to talk to me. I remember one day during deer season he came up and went hunting with my dad and me. We drove a mile up the road and were going to hunt back to the house. My dad and i walked almost the whole way back. We came to a open field. No Charlie any place. We walked back to where we started. No Charlie and no car. We walked back to our house. Charlie was sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee. Told us it was too cold for him. A great man and he will be missed
