Obituary of Betty Jane Locaso

It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Jane Locaso, age 75, of Downsville, New York announces her passing away due to complications related to cancer on December 20, 2020, Bel Air, Maryland. She was born in Walton, New York and attended Walton High School. In her early years she worked at the County Shopper selling ads and later owned the Trading Post in Walton. Betty loved retail and setting up at different shows and festivals but her favorite was always the Delaware County Fair. She loved talking to people, seeing old friends and of course making money! More than anything Betty adored her family and especially her grandkids. When the weather turned to winter she made her way down the east coast to Maryland and South Carolina, visiting her daughters and grandkids eventually landing in Florida to spend time with her sons and grandkids. In Florida you could find her on the bocce court, playing tennis or hitting the casino. And in the summers in NY having early morning coffee with her friends in Downsville and later on with the girls in Walton. Even though she was retired she still enjoyed setting up at a show from time to time, golfing and helping with senior meals. She was an avid sports fan that enjoyed watching the Yankees and Giants but what she really loved the most was watching her family play sports. From the early years at the booster club and small fry football to high school sports of her children then later watching her grandkids on the field.
